General entry requirements are 5 or more GCSEs graded 4/5 or above including English Language, and ideally, Maths. To study this course, GCSE grade 6 or above in Italian or another Modern Language is required. If you’re a native speaker of Italian without a GCSE in a Modern Language, you may still be admitted to the course following a successful language test.
The A Level Italian examination (Edexcel) consists of three components: Listening, Reading and Translation (2 hours) Writing – Essays on Literature and Film and Translation (2 hours 40 minutes) Speaking – a topic card and an individual research project (21-23 minutes)
