This course is good preparation for Music Technology at University or Music College. The Music Technology A Level consists of four dynamic components that will expand your musical horizons: Component 1 – Recording: Dive into the world of audio recording, mastering the techniques used to capture and shape sound. Component 2 – Technology-Based Composition: Unleash your creativity through technology, crafting innovative compositions that push the boundaries of musical expression. Entry requirements

General entry requirements are 5 or more GCSEs graded 4/5 or above including English Language, and ideally, Maths. GCSE Music is preferable (but not an essential entry requirement). You will need to be enthusiastic about listening to a wide range of popular music and be willing to work with sequencing software and recording technology in your own time. You should have some existing skills as a musician and be willing to develop basic keyboard skills during the course.

How you'll be assessed

There are two pieces of coursework and two exams in the second year.
