Course summary
The Law course at Wolverley Sixth Form is engaging and challenging, developing a range of skills including legal research and analysis, problems solving, communication of legal argument and critical thinking. The nature of the skills required for Law means that it is ideal to complement many other subjects. A wide range of teaching and learning strategies are used including practical communication tasks, discussion work, legal research, presentation of legal argument and problem solving which all help to develop the skills required to do well in Law. Component 1: The Nature of Law and the English Legal System - This covers sources of law and the English Legal System. Component 2: Substantive Law in Practice - This develops application of the law in contract, tort and criminal law. Component 3: Perspectives of Substantive Law - This develops analysis and evaluation of contract, tort and criminal law.
