Course summary

BTEC level 3 health and social care extended certificate offers a broad basis of study for the health and social care sector. This qualification is designed to support progression to higher education. Over the two years you will study four units focusing on a range of topics to challenge and prepare you for further study/work within the sector. The content of the qualification incorporates topics relevant across the health and social care sector: • Human lifespan development • Working in health and social care • Meeting individual care and support needs • Care needs relating to different physiological disorders
