Course summary

Chemistry is the study of matter and the chemical reactions between substances. Chemistry is also the study of matter’s composition, structure, and properties. Matter is essentially anything in the world that takes up space and has mass. Chemistry is sometimes called ‘the central science’, because it bridges physics with other natural sciences, such as geology and biology. You will not only learn the content but develop transferable skills which can be applied to any subject. The qualification is designed for post-16 learners who aim to progress to higher education and can be used as a springboard for any course.

Entry requirements

5 GCSE’s at grades 4-9 including English and Maths as well as Science/Chemistry at grade 6.

How you'll be assessed

Throughout the course, students will be provided with continuous support, guidance, and examination practice to allow them to succeed during assessment. 3 exam papers, each 2 hours long, and you shall be assessed on your practical skills.
