WHAT WILL YOU STUDY? • Biological molecules Cells • Organisms exchange substances with their environment • Genetic information, variation and relationships between organisms • Energy transfers in and between organisms • Organisms respond to changes in their internal and external environments • Genetic, populations, evolution and ecosystems • The control of gene expression You can use GCE biology at degree level or for other science courses. A biology degree can prepare you for a career in the science & health sectors. For example medicine, dentistry, veterinary science, nature conservation officer and microbiologist.
Students who don’t achieve a grade 4 or equivalent in GCSE English and maths must continue to study them in the 6th form.
