Course summary

In year one of the course there are 3 compulsory topics: - Aspects of Hispanic society (modern and traditional values, cyberspace and equal rights) - Artistic culture in the Hispanic world (modern day idols, Spanish regional identity, cultural heritage or cultural landscape) - A study of a Spanish-speaking film In year two of the course there are 4 compulsory topics: - Multiculturalism in Hispanic society (immigration, racism and integration) - Aspects of political life in the Hispanic world (today's youth, tomorrow's citizens, monarchies, republics and dictatorships and popular movements) - A study of a Spanish-speaking book or play - An individual research project linked to a Spanish-speaking country or culture
