In MFL, our curriculum intent is: • To provide a curriculum that provokes curiosity about other languages and cultures. • To understand and express ideas in other languages. • To develop an understanding of grammatical rules and how to apply them.
Students require a minimum of Grade 4 in either English Language or English Literature and a Grade 4 in Math's. In total five grade 4’s are required. If you want to study a Modern Foreign Language (Spanish or French), you will need a Grade 6 at GCSE in that subject.
Paper 1 – listening, reading & writing – 50% Paper 2 – Writing – 20% Paper 3 – Speaking – 30%
