The core units are: • The Business Environment • Business Decisions • Customers and Communications • Working in Business This course focuses on the vocational aspects of Business so you will find a lot of teaching is based on case studies, application to a variety of different businesses, visiting speakers, role plays, and visits to industry. Students will need to keep up to date with the use of specialist journals and by reading quality broadsheet newspapers.
A minimum of five GCSEs, at Grades A* – C/4 – 9, including English Language, from a mixture of GCSEs and equivalents. This course requires students to have achieved grade 4 or above in GCSE Mathematics.
Students will be assessed by a mixture of: Assignments – set and marked internally. Written exams – set and marked by the exam board.
