This course is a qualification which is the equivalent of one A Level and offers students a practical experience of engineering which can be studied alongside two other subjects. As part of the course you actively experience the engineering environment including electrical and electronics engineering.
You’ll need five good GCSEs including GCSE Maths at grade 6 and GCSE Science at grade 5/5 or above
For the qualification you study four units. Three are mandatory and two are externally assessed: ■ Engineering Principles (external exam) ■ Delivery of Engineering Processes Safely as a Team (mandatory- internally assessed) ■ Engineering Product Design and Manufacture (externally assessed) ■ Electronic Devices and Circuits (optional- internally assessed)
