The Centre of Excellence in Sport is based within a multimillion-pound complex that includes a swimming pool, gymnasium, athletics stadium, 4G AstroTurf pitches, and indoor sports halls. As well as academic excellence, and a holder of a Gold School Games Mark Award the tutor team has a broad range of professional sporting experience in rugby league, the fitness industry, swimming, coaching, and football. If you have the energy and self-discipline to take up one of our sports courses, you will develop your skills and knowledge of anatomy and physiology, fitness testing, health and nutrition, injury in sports, fitness instruction, planning, and leading sports activities, sports coaching, individual sports, and organizing sports events. You will maximize your sporting and coaching talents, choosing from specialised development programs in football, rugby, netball or leadership.
