Course summary

This course is equivalent to 1 A-level and is graded Pass to Distinction*. It is designed to introduce students to a wide variety of work in a range of health and social care settings. This course will also develop various skills which are required when working in health and social care settings, such as communication, independence, initiative and research. Year 1: • Unit 1 - Human Lifespan Development (Exam) • Unit 5 - Meeting Individual Care Needs (Coursework) Year 2: • Unit 2 - Working in Health and Social Care (Exam) • Unit 14 - Physiological Disorders and their care (Coursework)

Entry requirements

Level 6 in English Language. If a Level 2 qualification in Health & Social Care was obtained, Merit Grade or above is desirable. Although, prior study of the subject at BTEC/GCSE is not necessary but would be advantageous.
