Year 1: CM1 Equality, Diversity, and Rights (Internally assessed) CM2 Human Growth and Development (Internally assessed coursework) CM3 Safeguarding in H&SC CM4 Communication Year 2: CM5 Infection Prevention and Control (Internally assessed coursework) CM6 Psychological Perspectives (Internally assessed coursework) CM7 Sociological Perspectives (Internally assessed coursework) CM8 Working in Health and Social Care (Internally assessed) CM9 Reflective Practice course aimed: This course is ideally suited to young men and women who have an interest in working in a caring profession. ● Students who already have or are willing to develop a keen interest in issues related to health, social care, and early years ● Students who enjoy studying a subject that is relevant to their own lives and experience ● Students who want to study a course that is active and enjoyable ● Students who want to keep their options open and broaden their studies in a practical way ● Students who possess qualities such as willingness to develop an interest in issues related to health, social and early years, motivation, and being able to work well on their own and in groups ● Students who are hardworking and well-organised ● Students who are willing to apply what they have learned practically, for example, seek opportunities to ask ‘real’ professionals and practitioners questions surrounding their working lives.

Entry requirements

Five Grade 4 or above at GCSE or equivalent. It is not essential to have studied H&SC L2.

How you'll be assessed

HSC1 externally set and externally marked written assessment (Pass/Fail) External assessments make up 32% of your final grade 75 mandatory hours of coursework required over two years.
