This full time course is equivalent to 3 A levels. It provides an opportunity for those who have an interest in media to explore, develop and test their creativity across a variety of media forms including Film, Television Production, Video Game Design, Photography, Podcasting and Graphic Design. This hands-on approach immerses you in the process of analysing, researching, planning, and creating media products. Furthermore, you will refine your abilities in crafting media proposals and pitches, nurturing your creativity and originality. With a practical focus and industry insights, this course equips you with the knowledge and skills necessary to thrive in the ever-evolving media landscape. To study this course, 5 or more GCSEs graded 4/5 or above including English Language and, ideally Maths is required.
Assessment in the Creative Media Production and Technology Extended Diploma is entirely coursework based, across 13 units throughout the two year course. All units are internally assessed (with external moderation), ensuring that you receive personalised feedback and guidance. The units are awarded a pass, merit, or distinction, recognising your dedication and proficiency.
