During the A level in English Language you will discover how language is all around us in adverts, newspapers, subtitles, and webpages. This course explores the English Language from different perspectives. You will study topics such as Language Development in Children, Accent and Dialect, The Changes in Language Across Time, Spoken Language and Political Correctness.

Entry requirements

The entry qualifications for the A level in English Language are 5 GCSEs at grades 5 or above (Old GCSE grade C or above) including English Language or Literature at a grade 6 or above (Old GCSE grade B or above) or equivalent.
