This course provides you with a good quality grounding in performing arts, equipping you with performance skills and background theory in a specialist area of performing arts (acting. We work towards a number of performances throughout the year including performance/devised cabarets and classical and contemporary plays. Modules include: Performing to an Audience Principles of Acting Voice for the Actor Contemporary Theatre Drama Improvisation Theatre for Children This is a 2-year course studied from September – June.
You should have achieved at least five 9-5 grades at GCSE (not equivalents), including English language and maths. An average GCSE point score of 5.5 is recommended (only GCSE grades for this score, not equivalents).
You will be assessed using coursework within each unit using a variety of assessment methods including written, oral and performance.
