On this exciting study programme in the very popular digital sector, you can study areas such as computer systems, networking, programming, games design, system security, website design and technology, and animation. The Level 3 elements comprise of technical computer fundamentals, Python, HTML, Basic Java scripting and security in the technology industry. The Extended Diploma is a two-year course. The first year is equivalent to one A Level (Foundation Diploma) and successful completion of the first year will allow progression to Year 2 to complete a total of three A Level equivalents, graded from Pass to Distinction*. The qualification enables learners to explore a choice of sector areas, enabling progression to either higher education or employment in the computing sector (depending on previous experience and final grade).
