It involves scientific research methods to generate and analyse data, and uses a number of different approaches to explain variations in thoughts and actions. Psychology has direct applications for real life ranging from influencing others to medical treatments, and thus can be applied to many different career paths.
GCSE English Language, Mathematics and Science at grade 5 are desirable to enable the student to understand the course content. GCSE Psychology is not required to study the A Level required to study the A Level.
A Level Psychology comprises three examinations (2 hours each), each worth one third of the qualification.
