This A Level Law course provides you with an essential introduction to the English Legal System and is a solid foundation with which to pursue a successful career in the legal profession. Skills gained will include an understanding of legal method and reasoning as used by lawyers and the judiciary. Key topics for analysis include Juries, Magistrates, Barristers, Solicitors, the Powers of the Police, Bail and Sentencing. You will also examine the origins of the law, such as acts of parliament, Case Law and Delegated Legislation. Knowledge of the law in England will be developed and the interaction between law, morals, justice, society and technology.
At least five GCSEs at grade 5 or above in a good range of subjects, including both English and Mathematics. There are no additional entry requirements for this course.
