A combination of art and technology, graphic design will develop your skills in creative problem solving. This course explores the fundamentals of graphic design and provides a concise introduction to working in the design industry. You will have the opportunity to learn new computer editing skills while presenting an individual response to design briefs. TOPICS INCLUDE: • Art analysis • Photo manipulation • The role of graphics in marketing • Typography • Motion graphics and 3D design • Photography and print media
At least five GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English. A suitable portfolio of creative work may be accepted as an alternative to GCSE Art & Design.
