Course summary

Further Mathematics is ideal for students who have a real interest in Mathematics and want to challenge themselves to study the subject to the highest level. The Further Mathematics syllabus is the broadest possible, allowing students the chance to study mechanics, statistics and decision Mathematics alongside pure Mathematics modules. Students will begin to see the Mathematics used by Scientists, Engineers and Statisticians and will finish the course with an excellent foundation for studying a Mathematical subject at university. Further Mathematics is an exciting course, challenging students to gain a real and worthwhile insight into subject. For both AS and A Level Further Mathematics students will study pure mathematics and choose between options in Mechanics, Statistics, and discrete mathematics.
