The course covers the study of literature, building on the work completed at GCSE Level. The texts that students will study throughout the course will cover two themes: Love through the ages and Modern Texts. Students will study a range of prose fiction, poetry, drama, and non-fiction texts that will span across a range of literary periods. Students will also be expected to complete a wider range of reading outside of lessons. Teaching is primarily through group and class discussion, and developing analysis skills.
5 GCSE’s at grades 4-9 with English Language and/or Literature at grade 6.
