Course summary

Interested in a career in nursing, midwifery, teaching or care? This course will allow you to develop your employment skills and independent learning. Lessons involve group discussion, presentations and producing written reports for assessment or preparing for external exams based on case studies. Diploma: (two A Level equivalent. Students will complete all Extended Certificate units above, plus four Diploma units): • Unit 4: Enquiries into Current Research (exam) • Unit 7: Principles of Safe Practice (coursework) • Unit 8: Public Health (coursework) • One other coursework unit

Entry requirements

• You do not need to have studied Health & Social Care previously. • Students who have studied the subject at Key Stage 4 require at least a Merit in Level 2 BTEC Health & Social Care. • Students who have not studied the subject before, require a grade 5 or above in English.
