Lessons involve group discussion, presentations and producing written reports for assessment or preparing for external exams based on case studies. Diploma: (two A Level equivalent. Students will complete all Extended Certificate units above, plus four Diploma units): • Unit 4: Enquiries into Current Research (exam) • Unit 7: Principles of Safe Practice (coursework) • Unit 8: Public Health (coursework) • One other coursework unit
• You do not need to have studied Health & Social Care previously. • Students who have studied the subject at Key Stage 4 require at least a Merit in Level 2 BTEC Health & Social Care. • Students who have not studied the subject before, require a grade 5 or above in English.
