Course summary
Students enjoy the freedom History coursework gives them as they choose their topic to investigate. A-level history offers great variation. The witch trials unit examines the fascinating and very different world views of 17th-century people. The USA course, on the other hand, has so much contemporary relevance in the study of a deeply divided superpower. We also examine how society in this country changed in the 20th century and why Margaret Thatcher was both loved and hated.
