Course summary

This course is designed for people who are interested in a career in the animal welfare sector. In the first year learners will complete a Level 3 Foundation Diploma in Animal Management, and on successful completion of this qualification will be able to progress to the Extended Diploma in Year 2, which provides access to a range of higher education programmes. Students who are 18 years old when they start Year 1 will therefore be 19 at the start of Year 2 and may be subject to fees for the Year 2 qualification.

Entry requirements

Five GCSEs at Grade 4 or above, including English Language and Maths OR Science. Alternatively, we can accept a Level 2 animal-related qualification (eg Animal Welfare Level 2 Diploma) and GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4 or above.

How you'll be assessed

The qualification will be assessed using a range of methods such as external exams, written assignments and practical assessments.
