This is a qualification which includes both health and social care-based units to give you a broad subject knowledge. You will be assessed through a range of methods, including exams, essays, presentations, role play and practical tasks. There is a wide range of enrichment opportunities, such as completing a first aid course, employability workshops, sessions with guest speakers, working with Southampton Hospital education centre and trips to relevant settings to support your studies.
A minimum of five GCSEs at grade 4 or above including English language.
Assessments will comprise 60% personal investigation and 40% externally set practical exam. Your coursework is internally assessed and externally moderated.
