A Level history allows students to relish in the discipline of a historian. Students are challenged in the depth of study of new areas of history as well as being given the opportunity to create, develop and write their own in-depth analysis of an historical argument. Students will be encouraged to debate, argue and support their beliefs regarding age old questions such as: how can a dictatorship take control? Why did the government not get involved sooner and why do historians disagree? Alongside source analysis and contrasting views of historical interpretation, students will become master historians with skills that can be applied to any situation or work in the future.
- A minimum of five GCSEs with grades 9-4 equivalent - Achieve at least a grade 5 in chosen subjects where appropriate - Achieve at least a grade 4 in both English and Maths
