Universities appreciate the range of skills developed through the study of a language and look favourably upon applicants with an A Level in a foreign language. A-level Spanish helps you to develop confident, effective communication skills in Spanish and a thorough understanding of the culture of countries and communities where Spanish is spoken. It develops your existing interest in, and enthusiasm for, language learning and encourages you to consider the Spanish in a broader context.
We ask that all students achieve grade 4 or equivalent (a Level 2 pass) in at least 4 subjects, alongside the following subject specific entry requirements: • Grade 6 in GCSE Spanish
Paper 1: Listening, reading and writing (50% of A Level) Paper 2: Writing on the film and written text (30% of A Level) Paper 3: Speaking including Individual Research Project (20% of A Level)
