Art and Design (Fine Art)

Course summary

At A level, students are expected to demonstrate greater depth of study. The emphasis of the first year of the A level course will be on the development of understanding and skills using an appropriate range of materials, processes and techniques. Students will produce a collection of materials that exemplifies work carried out during this first year. This course lays an appropriate foundation for further study of Art and Design or related subjects in Higher Education. In addition, it is suitable for the diverse range of candidates who wish to develop their interest in and enjoyment of Art and Design, fostering its value in lifelong learning.
