Course summary

This qualification offers a fantastic opportunity to students looking for clear and direct routes into either higher education or employment within the field of health and social care. Nurses, midwives, social workers, youth workers, occupational therapists, health and well-being specialists and psychology and criminology are some of the popular destination routes of our students. Taken alongside other A Level or BTEC qualifications, you will be working on areas employers and universities have highlighted as crucial to the health and social care workforce. How you'll be assessed

4 Units of study are completed in total. You will complete an external examination/assessment in the following units: ■ Unit 1 – Human Lifespan Development (1 hour, 30 minutes) ■ Unit 2 – Working in Health and Social Care (1 hour, 30 minutes) You will complete externally set, internally marked coursework for the following units: ■ Unit 5 – Meeting individual care and support needs ■ Unit 12 – Supporting individuals with additional needs
