The course consists of either 4 units (one A-Level equivalent) or 9 units (two A-Level equivalent). Examples of the topics covered are: Anatomy and Physiology, Fitness Training, Professional Development, Sports Leadership, Fitness Testing, Practical Sports Performance, Sports Event Organisation, Sports Coaching and Sports Injury Management.
• 2 x 5s and 3 x 4s/ Level 2 passes including 4s in English and Maths.
The BTEC National Diploma is equivalent to one or two A-Levels and grades are awarded at Pass, Merit, Distinction and Distinction*. Assessment is a combination of externally assessed controlled coursework, internally assessed coursework and a written exam.
