This is an ideal course for students interested in sport. If you panic in exams or just prefer predominantly coursework based study, this will enable you to progressively cover (and be assessed in) the content, and enable you to know exactly where you are in terms of progress at, each stage. The units studied will consist of; Unit 1 - Anatomy and Physiology (externally assessed exam) Unit 7 - Practical Sports Performance Year 13 Unit 2 - Fitness Training and Programming (externally set task) Unit 3 - Professional Development in the Sports Industry
Both internal and external pupils wishing to enter the sixth form will be expected to have met the same minimum academic entry requirements for the sixth form. This is a minimum of 3 GCSE grade 4s and grade 4 in English AND Maths. This course additionally requires grade 5 English. Please note, we may adjust our offer each year.
