This course is delivered over two years and is equivalent to one A Level. Consists of three mandatory and one specialist unit: Unit 1 – Dispute Solving in Civil Law. Unit 2 – Investigating Aspects of Criminal Law and the Legal System Unit 3 – Applying the Law Unit 6 – The specialist unit allows the student to understand the rules of Contract Law. Students will learn through a variety of teaching methods with teacher-led lessons. Students will produce individual projects and assignments involving research which students will be expected to work on their own account. Homework is a regular feature.
A minimum of five GCSEs, or equivalent, at grade A* – C or 4 – 9 including English Language, and a minimum of a grade D or 3 in Maths.
Students will be assessed by internal assignments for both Unit 2 and Unit 6 and will sit external assessments for Unit 3 and Unit 1.
