The A level in Maths is designed for those who wish to extend the maths they learnt at school and/or progression on to higher education at university or at Boston College.
The entry qualifications for the A level in Maths are five GCSEs at grades 5 or above (Old GCSE grade C or above) including Maths at grade 7 or above (Old GCSE grade A or above) or equivalent. If you are concerned about the above entry requirements an alternative course available is A-Level Statistics.
The A-level in Maths is 100% theory based. You will be assessed by examination at the end of the year. These take place in June only. You are allowed to re-sit the exams in order to improve your grade.
