This specialised course offers you the opportunity to undertake work placements for hands-on practical experience. This course has a strong practical element to it which ensures you’ll be ready for a variety of careers in the caring professions. Our expert and experienced teachers will ensure you learn the practical fundamentals of the course in a supportive environment to ensure that you achieve your full potential. You will study a combination of units and topics which include communication, health & safety, equality and diversity in the first year, and public health, anatomy and physiology and psychology in the second year. This subject encompasses psychology, biology, sociology and law and this blend complements a range of other A Levels. This practical course concentrates on understanding how theory underpins practice; placements in a variety of settings are a valuable component of the course in both years.
