The geography department has strong links with the University of the West of England and the Geographical Association, and as part of your course you will have the opportunity to attend field trips and external lectures We also have in-person and online talks from the university and employers such as the Environment Agency and Water Aid, whilst a visit to Hinkley Point C looks at nuclear power, energy security, and the jobs being created by this vast project. These experiences offer insight into different roles this field. When you study A Levels with us, you will automatically become part of our Career Excellence Hub and benefit from a range of additional opportunities designed to enhance your career prospects. You will gain valuable work experience in June of year one and February of year two. We'll support you in finding suitable placements or provide a week of experiences within the College that align with your career aims. In the first year of your course, you'll also follow a pathway that aligns with your career aspirations. Options such as environmental or social enterprise will provide you with additional skills and experiences to enhance your career prospects.
