Curriculum Intent: At Moseley Park Sixth Form we offer a broad and diverse curriculum that allows the students to work from a variety of assignment briefs that have been designed to reflect a live vocational scenario. Students are taught the skills to respond to these briefs in independent and innovative ways. Students will draw on their knowledge and understanding of art that they have gained during Key stage 3 and 4, and will now begin to use their knowledge to meet the specification of their brief. During the course of study, we aim to introduce students to a variety of contemporary artists, and embed their knowledge of art history and art movements. We hope that students will gain a higher level of understanding of the influences and social events that shaped the art world.
Minimum requirements are GCSE English Grade 5 and a minimum GCSE Grade 5 in a creative subject.
Assessment Objectives vary between units, but verbal feedback and summative assessment will be completed throughout the course.
