The course explores in depth biological molecules, cells, exchange systems and genes variation and organism relationships. The following content is also explored: energy transfers; organism response to internal and external changes; genetics, populations, evolution and external changes; control of gene expression. Complex theory is combined with practical experiments in science laboratories.
Waddesdon Points System to enter the Sixth Form explained in the prospectus. Minimum of 65 in GCSE Science, 6 on the GCSE Biology paper and 5 in GCSE Maths.
Through 3 exam papers at the end of Year 13. Students will also be awarded a pass/fail practical skills certificate based on practical studied throughout the two years.
