Brand new for 2021, this is a full-time Level 3 course that provides an introduction to the fast-developing world of Esports and is taught over two years. Students learn about the unique crossover of subject areas that comprise the Esports industry, such as enterprise, game design, marketing, business, teamwork, and event management. This course earns UCAS points which will allow progression opportunities to Higher Education to study subject areas such as game design and development, Esports management, events management, business and marketing.
Four Grade 4s at GCSE, or a Merit grade in a Level 2 Diploma.
The course is assessed through internally set theory and practical-based assignments (coursework). There are no external assessments or examinations. The course also includes an element of synoptic assessment (demonstrating a range of skills through a vocationally-relevant assignment).
