Part of a program of study that includes other vocational or general qualifications. A broad basis of study for the health and social care sector. This qualification is designed to support progression to higher education when taken as part of a program of study that includes other appropriate BTEC Nationals or A-levels. The BTEC Level 3 National Certificate in Health and Social Care consists of two mandatory units, one provides for a combined total of 180 guided learning hours (GLH).
You should have at least 5 GCSEs at grade 4 and above including English and maths.
Learners will be awarded a pass, merit, distinction, or distinction* qualification grade (or combination of these grades appropriate to the qualification) by the aggregation of points gained through the achievement of individual units. The number of points available is dependent on the unit level and grade achieved, and the credit size of the unit.
