Course summary

The study of the English Language encourages you to discover the way in which language is used by individuals and groups, how children learn to speak, read and write, the changes language has gone through over time and the variations and diversity we have in our language. You will find out how language has evolved over the centuries and how different dialects and accents are prominent across regions of this country. You will gain and develop skills in analyzing language, applying theories and the ability to evaluate and critique ideas. Through the completion of your NEA you will improve your research skills and show off your creativity and flair in writing.
