This exciting new program of study aims to equip students with the academic knowledge and practical skills to become an effective business person. The course is vocational and the students complete work that is applied to the real business world and this is developed through theory lessons, project-style work, assessment under controlled conditions, and examined units. Unit 1: Exploring Business. Unit 2: Developing a Marketing Campaign. Unit 3: Personal and Business Finance. Unit 8: Recruitment and Selection.
5+ Grade 4s at GCSE or equivalent. Grade 4 in English. Merit in BTEC in subjects you wish to study. In adition, students will be required to have achieved at least Grade 4 in maths. Grade 5 in maths and English would be an advantage for this course.
This course is assessed through the submission of independent coursework, examination and exam board-assessed assignments.
