Course Structure Year 1 • Business Environment (Core) • Business Resources (Core) • Managing an Event • Business Communications (Core) • Introduction to Marketing (Core) • Business Project • Management • Team-Building • Starting a Small Business • Health and Safety Year 2 • Business Accounts • Internet Marketing • Development Planning • Business Project • Management • Understanding Retailing • Management Accounts • Human Resource Management • Business and the Economic Environment • Employment Law • Creative Product Promotion There will be talks by visiting speakers who are current practitioners in the field of business including personnel managers, marketing managers, and accountants. Work placements may be organized to provide learners with an opportunity to observe and gain experience in different organizations. There will also be organized visits to universities. On successful completion of this course, you could progress to employment within a business environment. Alternatively, you may progress to an HND or HNC in Business or to study a degree at university.
Level 2 Qualification in Business or a relevant subject, as well as GCSE Maths and/or GCSE English at grades 4 (C) or above. You will need to have a successful interview and may also be asked to present your school report.
