The A Level Further Maths course consists of A Level Maths in Year 12, followed by A Level Further Maths in Year 13. It is suitable for able and committed mathematicians who really enjoy the subject. This increasingly popular subject extends the Pure Maths, Statistics, and Mechanics covered in A Level Mathematics. It also introduces many new concepts, including imaginary numbers and decision maths.
• All Loughborough College Sixth Form courses have minimum entry requirements of at least five GCSEs at grade C/4 or above, including English Language and Maths. • GCSE Maths at grade 8.
• Year 12: A level Maths - three x 2 hour exams • Year 13: A Level Further Maths - Four x 1.5 hour exams
