Course summary

Film Studies will interest anyone who not only enjoys cinema going, but is also curious about how films are put together and how they communicate to their audience. From the base of a fully-equipped cinema classroom you will explore the social history surrounding a range of films and genres. European in flavour, ideas, styles, movements and thinkers feature throughout, providing a sound platform for university study in any discipline.

Entry requirements

• To study an A Level programme you should achieve at least grade 4 in GCSE English Language and Maths, plus 2 grade 5s and 4 grade 4s from your remaining 6 best subjects. • Standard entry requirements to include grade 5 GCSE English Literature and grade 4 in Maths.
