Course summary

The Religious Studies course is made up of three strands: Philosophy of Religion; Religious Ethics and Christianity. These three strands work together to help students to establish a broad understanding of Philosophy and Ethics from a Christian perspective. These topics enable you to develop discursive, analytical and evaluative skills that are good, transferable academic skills. At a recent Theology conference attended by De Lisle students, Philosopher Peter Vardy said Theology A level is “…rigorous, academically relevant…” and that “the skills are sought after by employers.” This A level would lead directly into subject related university courses and careers, and indirectly into a wide range of higher education courses and career choices. BA (Hons) Theology and Religion - BA (Hons) Philosophy - Careers in healthcare e.g. Health Service Manager - Careers in social work e.g. Counsellor.
