This course encourages the practical application of business concepts by exploring events in the business world and relating these to theories and practice. The course is assessed purely by examination and covers real-life business issues, such as how to lead and manage a successful business and the decision-making involved in order to improve business performance. Students will also look at the wider influences on businesses through strategic planning, finance and the economy. They will have the opportunity to complete group work and conduct independent research ahead of the final year exam, enabling them to develop the transferable, academic skills required in higher education.
- Grade 4 in Maths and Grade 5 in English Language - GCSE Business is not a requirement. - All students need to have at least five GCSEs at Grade 4 or above (and a satisfactory school reference) in order to be accepted on an A Level/BTEC Level 3 Programme
This is a two year course which is 100% examination based. Students will sit three external examinations in June of the second year.
