YEAR ONE THE COURSE During the first year, practical and conceptual skills are developed through a teacher-led project that will help to equip you with the skills and confidence necessary to begin working on your assessed personal investigation project - this involves a portfolio of practical work supported by a written element made up of 1000-3000 words of continuous prose. YEAR TWO During the second year, you will continue to work on your personal investigation. This counts for 60% of your final grade. The remaining 40% is from the externally-set task given by the exam board. Preparation for this begins in February and leads to a 15-hour exam.
5 x 9 to 4 Grades including English at 4
