Course summary

There will be educational visits through the year with an end of year trip. A number of professional speakers and/or visitors will be incorporated in the course.

Entry requirements

The entry qualifications for the Level 3 Animal Management Diploma are five GCSEs at grade 4 or above (Old grade C or above) including a Science and Maths or English. You can also progress onto this course with a Merit profile in a Level 2 qualification. You will need to demonstrate that you have completed meaningful experience through your previous qualifications or one weeks external work experience.

How you'll be assessed

You will have full access to the Animal Care Unit and both practical and theoretical skills will be assessed here. 40% of your time will be spent in the unit and 60% will involve classroom based lessons. You will undertake external work experience throughout your course in addition to your normal college hours, it is expected you will study independently to complete assessments.
