For the Forensic & Criminal Investigation Diploma, you will also study: forensic investigation procedures, applications of criminology, criminal investigation procedures, plus one optional unit in a specialised area of forensic investigation. In order to study Forensic & Criminal Investigation, you must also select Applied Science as one of your subject options.
Grade 4 in GCSE English Language, Mathematics and Science (grade 4-3 in combined science or grade 4 in each of the separate sciences).
The new BTEC National will assess you in three ways: • Assignments - You will complete a series of tasks set in a work related scenario and produce a portfolio of evidence. • Tasks - In controlled conditions, you will complete a practical task tackling an everyday challenge • Written Exam - You will draw on essential information to create written answers to practical questions in test conditions.
